Saizon serves lighter but flavorful dishes in a lively, modern setting. They were especially busy on the weekend and reservations were a must. Despite being packed, drinks and food came out quickly. Our server was personable and attentive. =ORDERED= *Oysters: the half dozen were properly cleaned and prepared. The accompanying mignonette was light and acidic. Best oysters that I've had in the Central Valley. *Tiger Ceviche: the cured hamachi was tender and sweetened by the leche de Tigre marinade, red onion and pepper. The tostadas were hot, thin and crispy. We were able to get a refill on the tostadas as the initial three weren't enough. The red sauce offered subtle heat and further acidity. Tasteful version of ceviche. *Cazuelas Shakshuka: the eggs were a bit overdone but the tomato base was flavorful and bright. The spices and peppers added some warmth. The garlic aioli added creaminess where the eggs lacked. The grilled bread was crispy and charred. We were also offered a refill when we ran out of bread to dip. *Berry White: heavy on the vodka. The tri berry jam was tart and the basil was fragrant. I was hoping the elderflower was more prominent but the drink was still refreshing. While I would have preferred the dishes to be larger, the flavors were big and memorable. If I'm able to nab a reservation, I would return to enjoy their other seafood and vegetables.

Service, food, and ambiance of this place is top notch. We did a Saturday brunch and upon opening, you are greeted with a very friendly staff. Our waitress was very attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu. She gave us several recommendations of the menu and the cocktails that they serve. Unfortunately we were only able to get reservations in the patio for the time we wanted, and we were worried because it was a very hot day, but they had fans and a swamp cooler, which made it very comfortable for me and my wife. We loved the patio area, it's our dream backyard and perfect for a brunch vibe. The food was impeccable. We ordered the Churro French Toast, Chile Verde Omelette, Pork Belly Benny, and Banana Foster French Toast. The pictures of the Churro French Toast, is quite misleading as it does look dry, but it is far from that and is unbelievably delicious with the mascarpone. My wife loved the Chile Verde Omelette and the salad that it came with (so much that she had to ask what kind of dressing was on the salad). As for the Pork Belly Benedict and the Banana Foster French toast, they were very good, but I wasn't in awe of it like the Churro French Toast. Overall experience was wonderful and we can't wait to try more of their menu.

Overall rating: 9/10 Tuna crispy rice: 7.5/10 crispy rice was so satisfying and great flavors like a sushi roll. However the blue fin tuna quality was drowned out in sauce and the crispy outer layer of the rice was too thick for me. empanada: 8/10 my second favorite! Subtle sweet potato and cheese gives me the impression I'm eating a really good pizza pocket. pork belly al pastor bao: 7.5/10 great texture and smokiness on the meat. Bun was soft and veggies were fresh! I could not place the exactly what it tastes like though. Lamb chop/chuletas: 8.5/10 MY FAVORITE!! The crisp as well as the juiciness of the meat and subtle gaminess was a game changer. Only part is I wish the sourness/lime was a little toned down and yogurt sauce was a little sweet to balance sweet/savory ratio. Would come back for this dish. It was our 6 month anniversary and they provided each a glass of champagne!! Very good service and ambiance.

Cool, trendy restaurant in a newly developed area. This place certainly seems like the "go-to" spot for drinks and meet-ups. Crowd seemed more on the upscale and maybe even a little flaunty. I do appreciate the chef driven menu with inspirations from Northern Africa to Mexico to California. Fresh ingredients delivered in more contemporary presentation. We ordered the steak, harissa shrimp, oysters, and empanada. Everything we had was good buut nothing that I would probably go back for. Which is why I give it a solid 4 stars. Service was attentive and nice. Had good knowledge of the menu. Overall, a fun and cool vibe here. Worth a visit.

So good! We were already planning our next visit while we were there. Loved the creativity here and so many items on the menu we want to try. A friend recommended this place to us so we came for our anniversary dinner. The location is interesting and unexpected. The parking lot was very full and yet quiet. Sort of looks like office space. From the outside the place looks like nothing special but when you walk in you're greeted to a huge sensory experience. Beautiful midcentury modern and industrial style design and bustling atmosphere and loud music. It felt like a big city place. I didn't feel like I was in Fresno anymore. Immediately I thought maybe I should have brought my earbuds since I'm sensitive. As a quiet person I had to speak up a bit louder than usual. Definitely a fun space. On a Thursday evening we didn't have reservations but were able to be seated right away. There was a girl who was dedicated to just filling waters and offered us sparkling and still water. So our waters were always being topped off which was great because one of our dishes was a bit on the salty side. Our server James was the best server I've probably ever come across. Extremely friendly and upbeat and personable and immediately put me at ease. And I am socially awkward k. He offered us champagne on the house for our anniversary which we declined and he didn't miss a beat or second guess us. He happily explained the menu to us and checked in on us just enough. The menu is unique in its layout and showcases a fusion of Mexican and Asian flavors. It took us awhile to take it all in, as there is a lot of detail on it which I enjoyed. James recommended their version of guacamole and chips saying it was popular. I was kind of surprised but when I tried it I could see why. The herbs make it unique and the tostadas were perfectly light and crisp yet with just enough oil to be satisfying and the lightest amount of salt. Even with the jalapeños the guac wasn't too spicy for my sensitive tongue which also surprised me. James kept bringing tostadas until we finished everything in the bowl. Next we got the grilled oysters because I wanted something from the raw bar that wasn't raw. So we chose between the crabs and the grilled oyster. It was solid. The sauce was fun but I think we weren't expecting the cheese. Must have missed that detail. Still so good. Last we shared the yellowtail plate. It was like a fish steak, and more solid than we expected since we are used to yellowtail collars. The flavor pairings were real fun and delicious. It was only a tad bit saltier than I would have liked so I drank a lot of water. Even then I thoroughly cleaned the plate. Since we turned down the champagne our server brought us sorbet which was really nice of them. Great experience and worth it. It did not disappoint!

Saizon in Fresno, CA, offers a culinary experience that's fresh, clean, and poised for greatness. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a team of attentive and talented staff members who seemed genuinely passionate about their craft. Their knowledge and expertise instilled confidence that each dish would be exceptional. Exploring the menu, we sampled dishes from every section, and each one surpassed expectations. The kitchen consistently delivered on flavor and presentation, leaving us thoroughly impressed. It's evident that Saizon is just beginning its journey, and I anticipate it becoming a hotspot in the coming months. With its inviting ambiance, impeccable service, and diverse menu, Saizon deserves to be recognized as one of the finest dining establishments in the Central Valley. Four stars seem inadequate to capture its excellence; it truly belongs among the top echelon of fine dining in all of California.

Came here to celebrate with some friends and enjoyed every aspect of it! Service was great for our larger party! They made sure to have our water refilled, and consistently checked in to see if we needed anything! Food did not disappoint at all! My favorite was the pork belly bao, which was very juicy and flavorful - a unique fusion between Asian/Mexican flavors and concepts! We also got the Kashmir Sweater cocktail which paired perfectly with our meal. Great upscale casual restaurant for any occasion!

First time coming here and I was not disappointed. We came for Sunday Brunch. The place is spacious and clean. There is a bar if you want to just come in for drinks. I did try a Bloody Mary and it wasn't very flavorful. The staff was very nice and attentive. I was seated on the patio where the sun was in my face, so the waitress noticed and moved me to a different table. We started off with drinks and they were delicious with the exception of the Bloody Mary. The espresso martini was my favorite. Since it was my first time going there , the waiter gave us a run down of recommendations. We ordered the Taquito De Papas. It comes with two eggs but I ordered mine without. The roasted tomato salsa rojo that was poured on top , was bursting with flavor. I recommend trying out the brunch on Sunday. I will be back to try the dinner menu

Best brunch here on beautiful Saturday in February. We made a reservation a few weeks in advance-it didn't fill up too fast while we were there so I'd take a chance if you want to stop by on a whim during the daytime. Very friendly service all the way around. Huge setting! Large dining area and a beautiful outdoor patio area-I'd love to sit out there next time. The coffee is delicious! Maybe next time we will try something from the full bar. Lots of great sounding dishes, we decided on the Shakshouka--something we have been meaning to try! and the chili verde omelet and salad. Everything was perfect! The chili verde had a great spice to it. Really enjoyed the Shakshouka. Can't wait to go back! Cheers!
